ABSTRACT:

Thiazoiidinones and Azetidinones were prepared by the reaction of various substituted schiff bases with thioglycoliic acid and chloroacetyl chloride respectively. The schiff bases were synthesized by condensing diaminobenzanilide with various aldehydes. The thiozoiidinones and azetidinones ware characterized by their elemental analysis and IR spectra.
