ABSTRACT:

The spectral and magnetic properties of the chromium (III) complexes of N-4-methyl-7-hydroxy-8-acetocoumarinyl carbohydrazone (MHACC) and N-4-methyl-7-hydroxy-8-aceto coumarinyl thioacrbohydrazone (MHACTC) have been studied and the ligand filed parameters evaluated. The spectra of Cr(C25H20N4O7CI)CI2 complexes involving weak ligand field have been interpreted by calculating extra band energy of the second and third spin-allowed transition.
