ABSTRACT:

2-Amino-benzothiazole and substituted-2-amino benzothiazole condensed with acetoacetic ester to give 3-(benzothiazol-2yl) carbaxamido propane 2-one and 3-(substituted benzothiazol-2-yl) carbaxamido propane 2-one. These propane 2-one derivative condense with benzaidehyde to give 3-(substituted-benzothiazol-2yl) carbaxamido-4-phenyl-but-3-ene2-one. These on further condensation with hydrazine hydrate in ethanol gives 3-methyl-4(substituted benzothiazol-2yl) carbaxamido-5-phenyl-pyrazolines, 3-(substituted benzothiazol-2yl) carbaxamido-4-phenyl but-3ene, 2-one and 3 methyl-4-(substituted benzothiazol-2yl) carbaxamido-5phenyl pyrazolines were tested against test microorganisms for anti-microbial activity. The test organism are , E.coli, S. dysenteriae, S. typhi, K. pneumoniae and P vulgaris.
