ABSTRACT:

A new series of 6-(substituted acridin-9-yl amino)-2,3-dihydro-3-thioxo- [1,2,4] triazolo [4,3-f][1,2,4] triazin-8 (5H)-one were synthesized from the reaction of 9-chloro acridine and 6-amino-2,3-dihydro-3-thioxo-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-f][1,2,4]triazin-8(5H)-one. The structures of the compounds were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, Mass and CHN analysis. These compounds were evaluated for anti-inflammatory activity; compound 3b and 3c exhibited good anti inflammatory activity.
