From the water insoluble part of alcoholic extract of the roots of Feronia limonia a new flavone glycoside has been isolated. On the basis of U.V, I.R, N.M.R (1H, 13C) and mass spectral studies the compound was characterized as 5,4'-dihydroxy-7-methoxyflavone-8-O-b-D-glucopyranoside
