E. Cou and Total Bacteria Estimation of Tube Wells Water of Khagaria (Bihar)

E .coli and total bacteria have been investigated by methylene blue method. For bacteriological analysis sample is collected in presterillzed glass bottles in ice-box. Bacteriological counts are performed by making appropriate dilution of the sample and incubating at 37°±1° for 48 hours. MPN of coliform is found in terms of Index 100 ml and comparison is made with standard value.
