ABSTRACT:

Chalcone condenses with substituted aniline gives chalcone imine .This chalcone imine refluxea m DMSO-I₂ -H₂ SO₄ system affords flavone imine. All these chalcone imine and flavone imine were tested against S. typhi. S paratyphi. P vulgaris, X. spp., F solanri and B. cinema. It is found that the flavone imine are more active than chalcone imine.
