Synthesis of 3-(2′-Hydroxy-3′-Nitro-5′-Methylphenyl)-5-(Aryl/Heteryl) Isoxazolines

The present study deals with the synthesis and characterization of 3-(2'-hydroxy-3'-nitro-5'-methylphenyl)-5-(aryl/heteryl) isoxazolines synthesized from 1-(2'-hydroxy-3'-nitro-5'-methylphenyl)-3-aryl/heteryl-2-propen-1-ones by reaction with hydroxylamine hydrochloride and sodium acetate in ethanol. The structures of synthesized compounds have been established by spectral and elemental analysis.
