ABSTRACT:Cu (II) acetate reacts with the ligands, Bis (thiotrithiazyl) thioureate, derived from thiotrithiazyl chloride with thiourea. The authenticity of the complex has been established by elemental analysis Mass, IR, electronic, ESR, NMR and X-ray spectral studies. The ligand acts as pentadentate with sulfur and nitrogen atoms of thioamide and thiotrithiazyl ring, acting as donor sites. It is proposed that Cu(II) complex is distorted orthorhombic and paramagnetic in nature.
