ABSTRACT:

The reactions of Sm(III) and Gd(III) chlorides with trichlorophosphine and alkylating agents have been studied in the present manuscript. The ionic products, thus, obtained were characterized on the basis of their elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity data and also by their UV and IR spectral studies.
