The homogeneous 2% suspension of the latex of Carica papaya exhibited significant hepatoprotective activity against Paracetamol induced sub-acute toxicity in albino rats of either sex. The activity was evaluated using various biochemical parameters like SGOT, SGPT, ALP and total bilirubin and results were compared with marketed product namely liv. 52.
