Rapid Synthesis of High Alumina Zsm-5 Using Ethylene Diamine Template

ABSTRACT:

High alumina ZSM-5 zeolite was rapidly synthesized in system containing ethylene diamine from the initial gel, 1.85 Na2O: Al2O3: 15.2 SiO2 : 592 H2O : 19.7 C2DN. The crystals were lath shaped. The effect of alkalinity on crystallinity was investigated. Tuning the system alkalinity and controlling the crystallization time can ensure forming of pure crystal.
