ABSTRACT:

Some new cyano pyridines (IIa-j) have been prepared by the cyclo condensation of different 2-propene-1-ones (Ia-j) with malono nitrile and ammonium acetate. The constitution of the synthesised products are characterised by elemental analyses, IR, PMR and mass spectral data. The products have been screened for their invitro biological assay like antibacterial and antifungal activity.
