ABSTRACT:

Potentiometric studies have been carried out on metal chelates of Cu+2, Ni+2, Co+2 and Cr+3 with schiff-base derived from 4-carboxaldehyde-1-(2’,4’-dinitrophenyl)-3-methyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one with 4-bromo aniline. The dissociation constants of ligand and formation constants of its metal chelates have been determined by Calvin-Bjerrum pH titration technique, as adopted by Irving and Rossotti at 30±0.5°C and at ionic strength of 0.1M in 70:30 (v/v) dioxane-water medium.
