INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS

 

Oriental Journal of Chemistry is a QUARTERLY Research Journal of pure and applied chemistry and released four times a year. Submission of manuscripts implies that they are not under consideration for publication elsewhere and that they had not been and will not be published in whole or in parts in any other journal.

The following type of research communications are considered for rapid publication:

1.

Chemical Letters/Notes

 

Short exciting reports on Chemistry, not exceeding 400 words.

   

2.

Brief Communications

 

(a)

Reports on exciting new results, not exceeding 800 words will be considered for rapid publication.

 

(b)

The manuscripts (in duplicate) should be type written, double spaced without any subheadings but with ashort abstract of about 50 words.

   

3.

Full Length Research Papers

 

(a)

Manuscripts should not be more than twelve typed pages (Submitted in duplicate) must be type written, double spaced with widemargins.

 

(b)

The arrangements of full length paper must be in the following sequence. An abstract (not exceeding 100 words), brief introduction, material and methods, result and discussion, acknowledgement (if any) and references.

 

(c)

The number of tables and figures is to be curtailed to minimum drawn on tracing paper and numbered consecutively, with stencil (Photostat copies will not be accepted).

 

(d)

Reference should be numbered sequentially as (1), (2), (3) etc. in order to their citation in the text. The style of references should be as under:

   

Journal : Name of author(s), the journal, volume, pages and the year.

   

Example : Connick R. E. and Hugus Z. Z., J. Am. Chem. Soc., 75, 6012(1988).

   

Book : Author's name, title of the book, name and location of publisher, page and year of publication.

   

Example : Greenstein J.P. and Winitz M., Chemistry of Amino Acids, Vol. II, John Wiley, New York, 1009 (1961)

   

4.

It is obligatory thnat each author and co-author becomes a subscriber to the 'Oriental Journal of Chemistry'.

5.

Author(s) will be supplied 10 reprints free of cost without cover gratis. If extra reprints are required it should be indicated while sending the manuscript.

6.

The Executive body of Oriental Journal of Chemistry may replace some advisory board members by other freshly invited renowned chemistry researchers in its annual review cum screening meeting.

7.

Photograph(s) if any (in duplate) should be on a glossy paper and the line drawing(s) should be in black Indian ink on atracing paper. ( Size stricly minimum 7x7 cm, maximum 14x20 cm.)

8.

Editorial Board reserves the right to condense or make necessary alterations in the script.

9.

Manuscripts should be strictly in accordance with the prescribed format of the Journal. Proof(s) will not be sent to the author(s)

10.

If a subscriber does not get a particular issue of Oriental Journal of Chemistry, he/she must inform the Editor before the publication of the next issue i.e. within a period of four months from the date of publication of that particular issue. No complaint will be entertained after the stipulated period.
